Smash TV (Arcade) is the Retro Game of the Day for 21 May, 2016

Another quick and dirty entry day since I really didn’t have much time to properly prepare anything for today’s RGotD.

Smash TV had cool voiceovers, good music, and ultra-violent yet compelling gameplay enabled by twinstick shooting (move with one joystick controller, shoot with the other).  It was quite the quarter-gobbling beast back in the day as I threw more and more money into it to continue my journey to conquer it.  Thank goodness for Mame now where I can throw as many credits as I want into it without having to pay.

If you like this, Total Carnage, its sequel, offers similar gameplay with a more quest/story-focused setting.
